Dr Jimmy Hung

Qualifications: MBBS,BSc, MRCPsych, PGCert (Clin Ed), MSc

Following medical training at Barts and TheLondon, Jimmy completed his psychiatric training across Norfolk and Suffolk,and the West Midlands. In 2025, he was appointed Membership of the RoyalCollege of Psychiatrists and works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the OlderAdults Outreach Service at Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust, providingurgent community assessment and treatment for older adults with functional andorganic mental health conditions across South Staffordshire.

Jimmy holds an MSc in Dementia Studies and ispassionate in advancing dementia care and supporting individuals and familiesaffected by neurodegenerative disorders. He also has a keen interest inpsychopharmacology and holds a Certificate in Clinical Psychopharmacologyawarded by the British Association for Psychopharmacology. He is activelyinvolved in research and quality improvement and has presented his work at bothnational and international conferences.

Jimmy has developed an extensive education and training portfolio and is deeplycommitted to supporting the next generation of doctors. He holds a PostgraduateCertificate in Clinical Education and delivers teaching to medical students andresident doctors across several universities and training programmes. Heregularly acts as an OSCE examiner for the University of Birmingham and sits oninterview panels for recruitment of higher psychiatry trainees.
