Lip Filler Injections

Lip fillers, also known as lip injections or lip augmentation, are a popular non-surgical aesthetic treatment designed to enhance lip volume, definition, and symmetry using hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. Whether you want to add subtle fullness, define your lip borders, or correct natural asymmetry, our doctor-led lip filler treatments at Private Medical Clinic are tailored to achieve natural-looking, harmonious results.

What Lip Fillers Can Treat

Lip fillers aren’t just about volume — they’re about refining the overall appearance of your lips to match your individual goals. Whether you're addressing natural asymmetry, restoring fullness lost with age, or simply adding subtle shape, lip fillers can help create beautiful, balanced results that elevate your look.
  • Add volume to naturally thin or ageing lips
  • Define the vermilion border for sharper contours
  • Shape and lift the Cupid’s bow
  • Balance asymmetrical lips
  • Smooth out vertical lip lines (“smoker’s lines”)
  • Soften downturned corners of the mouth
Every treatment is tailored to your unique lip shape and facial structure, ensuring harmony and proportion rather than dramatic changes. The result is a fresher, more confident you — without compromising your natural beauty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are lip filler injections painful?

Most clients experience only minor discomfort during the procedure. We apply a topical numbing cream beforehand, and the filler itself contains lidocaine for additional comfort. You may feel light pressure or a brief pinch during injection.

How long do lip fillers last?

Lip fillers typically last between 6 to 9 months. This can vary based on lifestyle, metabolism, the product used, and the volume injected. Many patients return for maintenance treatments once or twice per year.

What’s the recovery like after lip filler?

You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising for 24–72 hours post-treatment. Avoid alcohol, intense exercise, and touching the treated area for 24 hours. You can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Can I dissolve my lip filler if I don’t like the result?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is rarely needed when treated by experienced professionals, but it's an available safety net.

Will my lips look unnatural or overfilled?

No. At Private Medical Clinic, we specialise in subtle enhancements tailored to your facial proportions. We never overfill or use inappropriate techniques that cause the "duck lips" look. Your lips will look naturally fuller and more defined.

What is in lip fillers?

We use premium hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm®, a naturally occurring substance that attracts water and adds volume. It is biocompatible, biodegradable, and safe for regular use.

How much filler will I need?

Most clients begin with 0.5ml to 1ml, depending on goals and existing volume. During your consultation, your doctor will advise what’s appropriate. We favour a gradual approach to prevent overfilling.

Can I wear lipstick after treatment?

Avoid makeup on or around the lips for at least 12 hours post-treatment to minimise infection risk and irritation. After that, you may resume normal cosmetic use.
